The California Flight Center Spin and Unusual Attitude Training program is a five lesson syllabus that presents spin theory, spin safety, and spin flight procedures. This five lesson syllabus prepares pilots for proper recognition and recovery from spins and unusual attitudes encountered in high performance aircraft and inverted flight.
Since spins most likely are the result of unusual attitudes encountered during flight, there is a comprehensive discussion of spins given by our instructors in order to enable the California Flight Center pilot to better understand the aerodynamics of spins prior to flight. California Flight Center uses the building block method of flight training to help the pilot visualize the conditions and forces that precede a spin, are encountered during the spin, and then are experienced during spin recovery.
All of this training is based upon getting experience and doing the “real thing”, which cannot be accomplished in flight simulators.
